1. Which chapter in World History did you enjoy most this year and why? I really enjoyed the chapter on Medieval Times. I enjoyed it because I knew a lot about it. It was one of the easiest, most interesting, and exciting chapters in the book. I loved learning about Medieval Times and what the people did. That is the chapter that I love the most.
2. Describe some of the things that you learned in that chapter. I learned about how the people lived. I also learned about what they did for fun. I also learned about some of the tools they used like spears. I also learned how they defended themselves. That is what I learned about in the Medieval Times chapter.
3. What new skills have you learned throughout the year? I have learned how we might be able to use some of the older things today like clay houses or roofs to keep us cool. I also learned about Mesopotamia or the land between 2 rivers. I also learned about the Haung or Yellow River in China. I also learned about World War I and how the German (or the central powers) used a combination of different gases to kill some of the Allied powers. I also learned how we got into World War I and how women had a big impact on the war and that at the end of the war in most countries women were granted the right to vote. That is what I learned in Social Studies this year.
4. How can you apply this knowledge to the real world? I can apply this knowledge to the real world. I can do this because all of the stuff we learned in Social Studies happened in the past. I can also use this knowledge to the real world because there are wars in the real world and there were 2 World Wars already. Also some of the things we see today were from back then. That is how I can apply this to the real world.
